Marketing & Job Placement

This program aims to assist trainee-graduates acquire employment through the Marketing & Placement Office of the Foundation.
The Foundation realizes that simply providing skills training will not amount to anything for persons with disabilities unless they can put to good use whatever they have learned in the formal education system and in the vocational/technical training that they can acquire, nor will the PWD become independent unless they can find employment that will give them the sense of dignity that a working person have when earning his/her own pay their one’s efforts.
Nova Foundation does not promise employment to its trainees-graduates but rather an opportunity to be employed if they will persevere in their training.
It has been only a year since the Foundation formally established its Marketing & Placement office under Ms. Lynn Garcia, Marketing Officer, whose primary function is to seek out employment opportunities for the graduates of the Founation and to create a platform for corporates to reach out to them. This is a continuous process that eventually would lead to more participating corporations which in turn would bring up the percentage of PWDs taking advantage of the opportunities opened up for them.
Seeking opportunities for persons with disabilities is somewhat difficult but not impossible.
There needs to be a change of perception towards persons with disabilities. Both government agencies and private corporations need to take the initiative by building their business models by incorporating training programs as well as employment options for them.
